Open Works Announces Exciting Partnership with Rubys Artist Grant

Open Works is thrilled to announce our partnership with the prestigious Rubys Artist Grant program. The Rubys Artist Grants are known for providing direct funding of up to $15,000 to Baltimore-area artists, empowering them to embark on innovative projects with significant community impact. These grants encompass a diverse array of creative disciplines, including Performing Arts, Media Arts, Visual Arts, and Literary Arts, fostering the development of new and inspiring artworks. Applications within each discipline category are welcomed once annually, offering artists the opportunity to bring their visionary projects to life. This year, in addition to direct funding, awardees have received a year-long membership to Open Works to help support their creative vision.

We are dedicated to democratizing access to tools, technology, and the knowledge needed to utilize them effectively. Our facility connects individuals to an extensive array of manufacturing equipment, dedicated workspace, educational resources, and Baltimore's largest community of skilled makers.
